ARTBOX featuring Stolkin

August’s exhibit at ARTBOX will feature new works by Max Stolkin.

Stolkin likes the physicality of expression.  Through the day in/day out labor of creating, he has established a sense of being in the world.  He is interested in the breadth of nature and our fragile place there. The work of time on natural forms, destruction and brutality yield a staunch beauty.  Max’s work itself is subject to a similar process. Failure sets him in places he needs to work out of, initiating change in the work.  Max is interested in objects that can stand still in time and hold grace.
